Hull Kingston Rovers have defeated city rivals Hull FC 38-24 at the Etihad Stadium.
Liam Salter crossed over on 11 minutes to give Rovers the lead, before Kevin Larroyer added a second try shortly after to further extend his side's advantage.
A second try of the afternoon from Salter after 23 minutes looked to have essentially ended the black and whites' hopes of getting back into the game, but tries from Dean Hadley and Jamie Shaul before the interval left the game wide open.
Travis Burns kicked over for the second time four minutes after the restart for the Robins, while Jason Crookes was then dismissed to make matters even worse for Hull FC.
Ade Gardner was the next Rovers player to find the sticks with 51 minutes on the clock, though their opponents were still hanging on courtesy of Danny Houghton's try four minutes later.
Feka Paleaaesina added try number eight of the afternoon to set up a tight final 10 minutes to the contest, but Hull KR made the man advantage count by adding two more tries through Gardner and Josh Hodgson to seal the win.
The victory ensures that Kingston Rovers move level on points with their opponents in the Super League table.
