Hull FC have recorded a narrow 24-18 win over Salford City Reds in the Super League this afternoon.
Danny Williams gave the home side an early lead with the opening try of the game, but scores from Ben Crooks and Richard Whiting ensured that Hull had a 12-6 advantage at the break.
Tom Lineham and Whiting added further tries for the visitors early in the second half, but Gareth Owen crossed the try line for Salford to keep the hosts in the match.
Jodie Broughton scored in the final minute of the game to leave Salford just six points behind, but there was not enough time for the Reds to level the scores.
The result moves Hull up to eighth in the table, while Salford remain 13th.
