Leeds Rhinos survived a late push from St Helens to take a 20-12 win in the Super League this evening.
A couple of early mistakes from the home side allowed Kevin Sinfield to kick the Rhinos to a 4-0 lead, before St Helens hit their stride, setting Jonny Lomax up for a try.
Ryan Hall managed to break the whitewash for Leeds before the break, rounding off a cagey opening 40 minutes.
Both teams continued to play defensively at the start of the second half, but two quick tries for the visitors from Kylie Leuluai and Hall saw Leeds take control of the match.
Francis Meli added a brace inside the final 10 minutes, but Jordan Turner missed both conversions, ensuring that the Rhinos' lead was never under threat.
