Castleford Tigers survived a second-half comeback from Wakefield Trinity Wildcats to seal a 43-20 win in the Super League this afternoon.
The visitors had the better of the chances in the first half, with Richard Owen adding two tries to leave them 14 points up at the break.
However, Wakefield started the second half well as Reece Lyne and Jarrod Sammut added to their score in the opening 10 minutes to cut Castleford's lead to six.
Lyne came close to adding his second just a couple of minutes later, but a last-gasp tackle allowed Tigers to avoid conceding and score at the other end moments later.
Late efforts from Daryl Clark and Scott Wheeldon helped Castleford rebuild their lead in the final five minutes, putting the result beyond doubt.
The result leaves Castleford third in the table, while Wakefield sit 12th.
