Warrington Wolves survived a comeback from Catalans Dragons to take victory in the Super League this evening.
Two tries from Joel Monaghan and one from Richard Myler gave the home side a 16-0 lead towards the end of the first half following a strong start for Wolves.
Catalans were reduced to 12 men just before the break as Brent Webb was given a yellow card for holding on in the tackle.
Despite being a man short, Damien Blanch crossed the whitewash to get the Perpignan side back in the match before the break.
Another try for Blanch and a further Warrington try from Rhys Evans saw the home side 10 points up inside the last 10 minutes.
With both sides pushing for the win, tempers flared, resulting in Webb and Ben Westwood both finishing the game in the sin bin.
Zeb Taia scored late on for the visitors, but it was too late to overturn Warrington's advantage, allowing their opponents to move to the top of the Super League table.
