Warrington Wolves and the Huddersfield Giants played out a thrilling 24-24 draw in their Super League clash at the Halliwell Jones Stadium this evening.
The home side took the lead in the 18th minute through Gareth O'Brien, who went over the line and added the extras with a solid conversion kick.
Huddersfield came storming back and drew level through a converted try from Chris Bailey in the 23rd minute, while minutes later Ukuma Ta'ai handed them the lead with another score.
The Giants were in the ascendancy and were playing excellent attacking rugby and they extended their advantage through Shaun Lunt, while Danny Brough added a drop goal to make the score 19-6 at the break.
In the second half, Huddersfield continued to dominate and Jodie Broughton went over for another try, but this time Brough missed the conversion.
Warrington began their comeback in the 58th minute as Ryan Atkins went over the line and O'Brien added the extras to bring the Wolves within 11 points.
The deficit soon became five points as Ben Harrison scored his first try of the night and O'Brien was deadly accurate with his kick to put the pressure on the Giants.
Harrison handed the lead back to the Wolves in the 68th minute and they were a minute away from victory, but saw those hopes dashed when Brough scored his second drop goal to earn his side a draw.
