Widnes Vikings finished strongly to clinch a narrow 22-20 win over Huddersfield Giants in the Super League this evening.
Widnes dominated the final 10 minutes of the first half to take a narrow lead into the break, with Rhys Hanbury and Paul Clough both crossing the line before half time.
Eorl Crabtree edged the visitors ahead after the restart, before Danny Brough added a brace of penalties to extend the lead.
However, the home side hit back late on as Joe Mellor reached for the line before Jack Owens slipped through the Huddersfield defence just four minutes later.
The result leaves Widnes fourth in the Super League table.
