Wigan Warriors produced a spirited fightback to beat the Salford Red Devils 19-12 in Super League this evening.
The Red Devils had gone into the break ahead thanks to Cory Paterson's try and Josh Griffin's conversion.
Within minutes of the second half Griffin went over under the sticks and successfully converted again to give the visitors a 12-0 lead.
However, a try from Joe Burgess and Matty Smith's kick reduced the arrears and shortly after the hour mark Liam Farrell went over, with Smith converting again to level the scores.
Wigan were on top and Dan Sarginson made the most of a defensive mix-up to pounce on a loose ball over the line to give his side the lead for the first time.
Smith then successfully converted for the third time and his late drop goal put the seal on a memorable comeback.
