Steffon Armitage could be in line for a move to Bath or Saracens to boost his chances of making England's squad for the World Cup next year.
The 29-year-old has been ineligible for selection to Stuart Lancaster's squad since his move to Toulon in 2011, due to the RFU's policy on not picking players that ply their trade overseas.
However, Armitage is determined to try to force his way back into the picture ahead of the tournament next year, with Bath and Saracens set to battle it out for his signature.
The flanker's coach at Toulon, Bernard Laporte, has revealed that a move could be likely in the near future.
He told reporters: "We have to move quickly if he wants to change. He has a contract, but if the England coach says if he plays for Bath or Saracens, then he will play in the World Cup, he has to play for these clubs."
Armitage made five appearances for England before his move to Toulon.
