Bath head coach Gary Gold has insisted that his side can still reach the Aviva Premiership playoffs, despite Sunday's defeat at London Wasps.
The West Country club were beaten for the fourth consecutive time as they went down 29-15 at Adams Park.
The result means that eighth-placed Bath are now 10 points behind the top four in the table.
"I think the table is quite tight this year," Gold told Sky Sports News. "If you look at it if you're a pessimist and see the glass half empty you could think we're out of the top-four contention.
"But we have a good group of rugby players, the attitude is right and I'm certainly not going to be giving up on the top four going forward."
Bath return to Amlin Challenge Cup action on Saturday when they host French club Agen at the Recreation Ground.
