Bath have secured their second win in seven games, beating Newcastle Falcons 30-24 at the Recreation Ground this afternoon.
Olly Barkley's penalty put the home side ahead in under a minute to keep Newcastle on the back foot.
Centre Ollie Woodburn capitalised with 15 minutes gone, crossing over to extend their lead to eight points.
Mark Wilson and Rob Vickers fired back for the visitors with half an hour gone to go in front, with Gopperth converting each to give them a six-point lead.
Woodburn added another five points to the home side's total with ten minutes gone after the break, before Tom Heathcote was able to convert on his third attempt of the afternoon to fire them back in front.
Bath prop Perenise's try set up Heathcote for his second successful conversion of the game, before the fly-half added a penalty to his tally after opposite number Gopperth temporarily reduced the deficit to ten.
Substitute Chudley's late try set Gopperth up to convert, but only closed the gap to six points in the dying seconds.
