Benetton Treviso have lost 24-6 to Montpellier in the Heineken Cup in the battle for the wooden spoon in Pool 5.
Things started the way they were to continue for Treviso, as Tobias Botes missed a penalty before Marco Filippucci was shown the yellow card.
In the 19th minute Rene Ranger went over the line, followed by another score from Mamuka Gorgodze on 35, but neither was converted by Francois Trinh-Duc.
To start the second half two kicks from Botes brought the visitors to within four points, but from that moment on they were blown away by Montpellier.
A Lucas Dupont try was converted by Eric Escande to put the French side 17-6, before a late effort from Pierre Berard was also converted for a comfortable win.
