CA Brive suffered their second defeat of the European Rugby Challenge Cup campaign with a 26-21 loss against Zebre this evening.
Edoardo Padovani added a couple of penalties to give the visitors the lead, but Brive edged ahead late in the first half when Riann Swanepoel burst forward for the first try of the night.
However, the visitors applied the pressure in the final minutes before the break, setting Kelly Haimona up for a Zebre try and restoring their advantage.
Andrew Mailei ensured that the scores remained close shortly after the restart as he scored Brive's second, but Valerio Bernabo kept the away side in front.
A Thomas Sanchou effort inside the final 10 minutes left the home side chasing a potentially game-winning try late on, but the Zebre defence held firm to see out the win.
