Cardiff Blues have made it back-to-back wins at the start of the European Rugby Challenge Cup campaign with a comfortable 33-18 win over Rovigo this afternoon.
The home side were the first to score when Luciano Rodriguez forced his way over following a spell of prolonged pressure from Rovigo.
However, the visitors soon started to dominate the possession, resulting in tries for Kristian Dacey, Josh Turnbull and Gethin Jenkins before the break.
Davide Farolini kicked a pair of penalties either side of the break to give the home side some hope of a comeback, but they could not stop Cardiff from getting the ball.
Manoa Vosawai and Macauley Cook extended their advantage further as Rovido crumbled under a lengthy spell of possession for the visitors.
The home side pushed hard late on, resulting in a try for Jean-Francois Montauriol in the final minute of the match, but it was nothing more than a consolation.
