Edinburgh have sealed their place in the quarter-finals of the European Rugby Challenge Cup with a 38-20 win over Bordeaux Begles this evening.
Sam Hidalgo-Clyne scored the opening try of the match, scrambling over midway through the first half, in which the scrum-half also kicked three penalties.
Lionel Beauxis kept Bordeaux in touch at the break though, adding two penalties to leave the visitors just eight back at the interval.
Matt Scott and WP Nel made the most of some quick passing by the Edinburgh side to extend the Scottish club's lead further, but a score from Baptiste Serin gave the visitors hope.
However, Didalgo-Clyne shook off a couple of tackles to slip over for a second time inside the final 15 minutes, sealing the win and bonus point for the home side.
