Edinburgh have booked a place in the European Rugby Challenge Cup final after cruising to a 45-16 win over Newport Gwent Dragons at Murrayfield this evening.
Sam Hidalgo-Clyne and Dorian Jones each kicked three penalties in the first half, but it was tries from Stuart McInally and Tim Visser that put the home side comfortably ahead at the break.
Brok Harris gave the visitors some hope early in the second half when he burst forward to add their first try of the evening.
Edinburgh soon responded though as Ben Toolis was found out wide to leave him diving over in the corner, while Visser added his second of the match just a couple of minutes later, leaving the Scottish side more than 20 points up.
Newport made a string of errors as they pushed to try to find a way back into the match, allowing the home side to dominate from the scrum and add a fifth try in the final few minutes, sealing the win.
Edinburgh will face either Gloucester or Exeter Chiefs in next month's final at Twickenham.
