Exeter Chiefs fly-half Gareth Steenson has suggested that the team are "looking forward" to testing themselves against the best sides in European rugby.
The Devon outfit travel to the Liberty Stadium on Sunday as their Champions Cup campaign begins against the Ospreys.
Speaking before the game, Steenson has revealed that the Chiefs are keen to make the most of their games in Europe.
He told the club's official website: "We're looking forward to being back in the top competition of Europe.
"The club strived hard to be here again and now that we are, we're going to try and make the most of it. For us, it's the first time we've been in the Champions Cup, which is slightly different to the old competition.
When the fixtures first came out, it was good to see who we got – Bordeaux we've never played before and we've never played the Ospreys at their place, so it's nice to test yourselves against the top sides."
Steenson scored the only try when the Chiefs beat Leicester Tigers last weekend.
