Ospreys built on their recent win over Zebre by recording a 25-13 victory over the Exeter Chiefs in the European Champions Cup at the Liberty Stadium this evening.
Steve Tandy's men got the better of some early penalty calls in the game as they were able to move into a 6-3 advantage, but Exeter soon thought that they had pulled into a lead when Luke Cowan-Dickie aimed to break over the line, only for his work to be ruled out by the television match official.
The try soon came before the break, though, this time as Will Chudley found a pass for James Short, who was able to escape the defensive run of Dan Biggar to give Exeter a 10-6 lead at half time.
Ospreys were a much-improved side after the interval and they found their form going forward, as they were able to build a lead of 18-13 courtesy of some strong kicking work from Biggar.
The vital moment came in the 72nd minute, however, when Gareth Steenson threw a poor pass that was intercepted by Josh Matavesi, leaving the Ospreys man to run 70 metres and clinch the game with a 25-13 victory.
