England have been hit with the news that flanker Tom Johnson will miss the entire Six Nations tournament with a knee ligament injury.
The Exeter Chiefs flanker suffered the injury in his side's Heineken Cup defeat against Leinster last weekend, but it had been expected that he would return for the latter stages of the competition.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Johnson's injury is more serious than first expected and therefore the 30-year-old will play no part.
Meanwhile, fly-half Freddie Burns and prop Alex Corbisiero will miss the beginning of the tournament through injury.
