Gloucester Rugby coach Nigel Davies has admitted that he was left feeling "hugely disappointed" by his side's defeat against Worcester Warriors.
The Cherry and Whites fell to a 28-27 loss at the Kingsholm Stadium on Saturday afternoon, as relegated Worcester picked up just their second victory of the season.
"It's hugely disappointing and sums up our season in many ways," Davies is quoted as saying by the Gloucester Citizen. "In patches we showed good ability and in others we dropped off badly.
"It was very frustrating, similar incidents were looked at differently but we were in control of that game and we allowed the referee to interpret it as he did.
"Two yellow cards puts a lot of pressure on the team and the reason Worcester got back into the game was the amount of penalties we gave away. We have to take the referee out of the games and we weren't able to do that."
Gloucester finished the Aviva Premiership season in ninth place.
