Gloucester Rugby complete the signing of New Zealand lock Jeremy Thrush ahead of the 2015-16 season.

Gloucester Rugby have confirmed that New Zealand lock Jeremy Thrush will join the club after the 2015 World Cup.

The 29-year-old will leave Super Rugby side Hurricanes in order to move to Kingsholm Stadium.

Thrush has won a total of 11 caps for the All Blacks since he made his debut in 2013.

"Signing a player of Jeremy's ability further highlights Gloucester's ambition to compete with the best clubs in Europe," director of rugby David Humphreys told the club's official website.

"As we continue to build our squad for the 2015-16 season, our initial focus was the retention of key players who were out of contract. This has now been done and with Jeremy's announcement this morning, we will continue to add strength in depth to our squad over the next few weeks."

Gloucester continue their European Challenge Cup campaign on Saturday when they entertain Oyonnax Rugby.
