Harlequins director of rugby Conor O'Shea has revealed that his players are raring to go ahead of Saturday's crucial Heineken Cup encounter at home to Clermont Auvergne.
The Quins are currently four points behind the French giants in Pool 4, but victory at Twickenham Stoop could see them leapfrog their opponents at the top of the standings going into the final round of fixtures.
"It comes down to playing an incredible side like Clermont," O'Shea told Sky Sports News. "We'll become a better side for playing in matches like this. The players just cannot wait to get out there at the Stoop.
"The guys are desperate to get out and put in a performance. We'll approach this by going for it. It's the only way we can - if you try any other way against them you will die a slow death."
Quins will become the first team in Heineken Cup history to reach the quarter-finals after losing their opening two games if they make it out of Pool 4.
