Tom Youngs has acknowledged that Leicester Tigers must up their game this weekend if they are to have any chance of defeating European champions Toulon.
The Tigers recorded a narrow 18-16 victory over Wasps at Welford Road last time out to climb up to fifth place in the Aviva Premiership table.
Next up for Leicester is the visit of French heavyweights Toulon in the European Rugby Champions Cup, with a win very much needed for the hosts if they are to retain any hopes of qualifying for the quarter-final stage.
"We know we are not playing as well as we can and if we play like we did last Saturday, against Wasps, then we will be in a world of trouble against Toulon," The Express quotes Youngs as saying.
"I think every player knows that we have to find a new level on Sunday. We are the underdogs against them and there's only one way to play when you are underdogs and that's to go for it."
Director of rugby Richard Cockerill also confirmed this week that another England international in Manu Tuilagi is expected to return from a groin injury.
