Leicester Tigers took a comfortable home win over London Welsh in the Aviva Premiership this afternoon.
Adam Thompstone scored the only try of the first half for the hosts after a quiet opening 20 minutes, helping Tigers to a 16-3 lead at the break.
The Exiles started the second half brightly, forcing four penalties in the opening 15 minutes, with Gordon Ross kicking three successfully to move London Welsh to within four points of Leicester's score.
However, a Niall Morris try gave Leicester a cushion again, before Dan Bowden added a third in the last minute of the game to round off a convincing win for the Tigers.
The win moves Leicester to the top of the table, with Harlequins yet to play this weekend, while London Welsh remain 10th.
