Leicester Tigers have secured a convincing 24-16 win over Wasps in Sunday's Aviva Premiership clash at Welford Road.
The hosts opened the scoring in the fourth minute when Vereniki Goneva crossed over on the left, before Owen Williams added two points with his boot.
The 23-year-old added a further six points in the half through penalty kicks, but opposite number Jimmy Gopperth struck nine points with his boot for a half-time score of 13-9.
Tigers found themselves out of sight after the restart, however, through another penalty from Williams and a 60th-minute try on the right from new signing Telusa Veainu.
Lorenzo Cittadini ran in a try late on, with Ruaridh Jackson adding the extras, but it proved too little too late as Tigers hung on for the win.
