London Irish lock George Skivington has revealed that he is "satisfied" by the team's start to the season.

The Exiles are currently in seventh place in the Aviva Premiership table after winning two and losing three of their opening five games.

While insisting that he and his teammates can be pleased by how they have performed so far, Skivington also expects an improvement in the coming weeks.

"We're relatively satisfied with the way we've come through the first five games, but on the same note we are really hungry to make an impact in the league and be the best we can," he told Premiershiprugby.com.

"We are learning as we go as we're still a developing team. The guys are working together, but some of them have only played five games together, so there's still a lot to be learned here."

London Irish continue their campaign on Saturday with a trip to Exeter Chiefs.
