Harlequins have claimed a narrow 16-15 win over London Wasps in their Aviva Premiership opener at Twickenham Stadium.
Wasps got off to the best possible start as Joe Launchbury touched down inside the opening minute of the match before Andy Goode added the extras.
A Nick Evans penalty got Quins off the mark in the 12th minute, but Wasps opened up a 10-3 lead at half time thanks to a penalty from Goode.
Evans kicked over six points at the start of the second half to edge the visitors to within a point of their opponents, and they went in front with 10 minutes left as Karl Dickson's try allowed Evans to score the conversion.
There looked to be late drama as Tom Palmer went over in the final seconds of the match for Wasps, but Goode's attempted conversion came back off the post as Quins claimed the victory.
