London Welsh head coach Lyn Jones has told his players to keep believing that they can stay in the Aviva Premiership following Saturday's defeat to Gloucester Rugby.
A late Freddie Burns penalty earned the hosts a narrow 14-13 win at the Kingsholm Stadium and condemned bottom-placed Welsh to their 14th loss of the season.
"We just to try to keep our focus on what we can influence, which is results and the scoreboard," Jones told Sky Sports News. "We need to keep believing.
"When you are a professional sportsman, 80% of the time is dealing with rejection and disappointment, and you have to have a mental toughness to deal with that."
The club will learn the fate of their recent appeal against a five-point deduction next week.
