Sale Sharks took victory over London Welsh in the Aviva Premiership by a single point this afternoon.
An error-strewn start by the visitors allowed the Exiles to take an early lead, Gavin Henson and Alex Davies sharing penalty-kicking duties to put the home side 12-3 up.
However, a strong finish to the half saw Sale head in to half time with a one-point advantage after a late try from Will Cliff.
Daniel Braid continued Sharks' dominant spell at the start of the second half by adding another try, but the hosts responded, with a penalty from Davies and a try from Phil MacKenzie putting them back in front.
A late penalty from Nick Macleod allowed Sale to edge ahead, and the hosts could not add to their score.
The win leaves Sale at the bottom of the table, just one point behind London Irish, while London Welsh remain 10th.
