Newport Gwent Dragons have secured their first Challenge Cup win of the season, triumphing 31-0 over Mogliano this afternoon.
Andy Tuilagi gave the visitors the lead after seven minutes following two missed penalties from Tom Prydie. Mogliano were then reduced to 14 men when Meyer Swanepoel was shown a yellow card.
Ieuan Jones and Will Harries added tries to open up a commanding lead for the Welsh side.
Harries throught he had a second just two minutes after his first, but the score was wiped out due to teammate Jevon Groves carrying out a dangerous tackle, resulting in the 24-year-old being sent off after 30 minutes.
Being down a man did not seem to affect Newport early in the second half, as Jones added his second try of the game. Dragons continued to look the more threatening, but Mogliano made the most of their 15th man to prevent the visitors from running up the score.
Prydie added Newport's fifth try of the match ten minutes from full-time.
The loss means that Mogliano have been defeated in all three of their Challenge Cup matches this season.
