New Zealand secure the bonus point by taking a 22-10 lead over Georgia in the first half at the Millennium Stadium.

New Zealand have secured the bonus point by taking a 22-10 lead into the half-time interval of their Pool C clash at the Millennium Stadium.

A frantic start to the match saw 22 points scored in the opening 12 minutes of the match, and it was the All Blacks who delivered the opening try in the second minute when Waisake Naholo made a breakthrough to display his pace and power on his World Cup debut to leave the Georgian defenders helpless.

Dan Carter followed up with the conversion, but there was a surprising response from the underdogs as the New Zealand fly-half reacted slowly to a loose ball, which allowed Georgia to get the ball to full-back Beka Tsiklauri, who sprinted clear while celebrating before the conversion levelled the scores.

However, parity would not last long as Georgia's concerns with the power in the New Zealand left them exposed out wide as Julian Savea bounced off one challenge before touching down.

Carter was unable to add the conversion from close to the touchline, and more celebrations for Georgia followed when Lasha Malaghuradze split the posts with a penalty just inside the New Zealand half of the pitch.

Savea silenced them once again with his second try of the match as the All Blacks used the men out wide to send the winger over once again.

The bonus point was secured when Dane Coles benefited from Richie McCaw's work to ease over, but Carter's struggles continued as he missed for the third time in four kicks.
