Saracens secured a hard-fought 23-18 win over Newcastle Falcons at Kingston Park in the Aviva Premiership this afternoon.
The Falcons were given the ideal start, however, as winger Sinoti Sinoti crossed over after just two minutes of play to give the hosts a five-point lead early on.
The lead proved shortlived, though, as the league leaders hit back five minutes later through Tim Streather, whose try was converted by fly-half Charlie Hodgson.
Further penalties from Hodgson helped the visitors into 13-10 lead, before Ben Ransom touched down to give Sarries a 23-11 advantage with 10 minutes remaining.
However, Newcastle moved within a converted try of victory with five minutes left on the clock through Alex Tait, but it was enough to derail Sarries' bid for the win.
