London Wasps have suffered a second successive defeat in the LV= Cup with a 20-8 loss at Newport Gwent Dragons.
Rhys Jones and Joe Carlisle exchanged penalties during the opening stages before a second kick from Jones gave Newport a 6-3 lead midway through the first half.
Wasps hooker Neil Cochrane then touched down on 29 minutes, but the visitors missed the conversion as they looked to increase their advantage.
They were made to pay just moments later when Jones added the extras to Matthew Pewther's try to see the home side go in 13-8 ahead at the break.
There was little to separate the teams during the tightly-contested second half, but Newport sealed the victory with 10 minutes left as Jones converted Ashton Hewitt's try.
