Sharks coach John Plumtree has insisted that his side are relishing their underdog status ahead of tomorrow's Super Rugby final against the Chiefs.
The South African-based Sharks will attempt to win their first ever Super Rugby title on Saturday at the Waikato Stadium in Hamliton, New Zealand.
"We've beaten the Australian conference winners, the South African winners and now we take on the New Zealand winners, it's been great for our team spirit," said Plumtree.
"We know we have a lot of support back home and we're also aware of the fact that no-one is really giving us a chance, so it's an opportunity to prove a lot of people wrong that we can pick ourselves up and go again."
The Chiefs have a slight head-to-head advantage between the two sides, having won eight of the 15 recent contests.
