The Brumbies have completed the signing of much-travelled Australian flanker George Smith on a 12-week contract.
The 32-year-old, who made 110 appearances for Australia, has played for Toulon, Suntory Sungoliath and Stade Francais during an illustrious career.
"It's exciting news for the club that we have been able to bring George back to Canberra. He's achieved a great deal in the game and was an important part of the team for many years, so naturally everyone at the Brumbies will be pleased to have him back," head coach Jake White told the club's official website.
"George's record and ability to win games is outstanding. The guy has won Super Rugby Championships, he's won big games for the Wallabies and he's played in a Rugby World Cup final so I want him to bring that winning culture back here to the Brumbies."
Smith departed Brumbies in 2010 to join Toulon.
