Northampton have succumbed to their second consecutive loss as London Irish beat them 13-14 at home.
Both teams were restricted to penalties in the first half, with the visitors' Tom Homer putting them ahead after seven minutes. However, Ryan Lamb scored twice in response to give Northampton the lead at the break.
Homer scored his second penalty of the game shortly after the half to tie the score, before Nick Kennedy's try extended their lead by five.
Northampton's late penalty try tied the score again, before Stephen Myler's conversion put the home side in front on 73 minutes.
However, Homer completed his hat-trick of penalties with two minutes to go to give the visitors the one-point win.
