Northampton Saints have torn apart Sale Sharks in the Aviva Premiership by a score of 47-7.
The scoring started with the boot of Stephen Myler, who kicked two penalties in the opening 15 minutes.
The first try was scored in the 21st minute from Tom Wood, with Myler adding the extras for a 13-0 lead.
A Lee Dickson try was converted and Myler missed the kick from a Luther Burrell effort but Saints went in 25-0 to the good.
Sharks still could not notch up a point in an equally dominant second period with Jamie Elliott going over for the first time 15 minutes into the half.
That one went unconverted but within nine minutes he added another five, Ryan Lamb missing the kick with his first action.
Roger Wilson scored a further converted try with 10 to play and the rout was completed by the same player at late on before Sale finally added a score at the death through James Gaskell.
