Northampton Saints have confirmed that Newcastle Falcons prop Kieran Brookes will join the club for the 2015-16 season.
The 24-year-old returned to Newcastle for a second spell in 2013 following two seasons at Leicester Tigers.
Brookes, who has made 51 appearances in the Aviva Premiership, has been capped six times by England.
"Kieran has steadily risen through the various England representative teams and has shown his quality at each level, building up experience along the way," Northampton director of rugby Jim Mallinder told the club's official website.
"However, while we believe that he can contribute a great deal to our squad we also think that Kieran has a lot more to come, and we are looking forward to seeing him develop as a player at Franklin's Gardens."
Brookes and his Falcons teammates are in European Challenge Cup action on Saturday when they host Newport Gwent Dragons.
