Charlie Hodgson has kicked Saracens to a 15-10 win over Sale Sharks in the Aviva Premiership this evening.
Both teams were happy to settle for penalties early on in wet conditions, with Danny Cipriani and Hodgson both adding three points for their sides.
However, the home side managed to force a turnover shortly before the break, allowing Marc Jones to carry it over in a driving maul to give Sale the advantage.
The league leaders were patient at the start of the second half as they pushed to get back in the game, with Hodgson kicking three penalties to put the back in the lead.
Nick MacLeod had a chance to restore Sale's advantage with a shot at the posts with five minutes left to play, but his effort drifted just wide, and Hodgson was able to add his fifth penalty of the game four minutes late to seal the win.
