Sale Sharks bounced back after suffering their first loss in four games last weekend to beat Gloucester at Edgeley Park this afternoon.
David Seymour scored Sale's only try of the game to put the home side ahead after 15 minutes. Fly-half Nick Macleod then scored the only other points of the half, following his conversion by putting up a last-minute penalty to take a ten-point lead.
Gloucester's Tim Taylor put Bryan Redpath's team on the board immediately after the break through a penalty. Just over ten minutes later, the fly-half doubled his tally to reduce the home side's lead to four points.
Macleod added his second penalty of the game to extend Sale's lead, before Henry Trinder's try reduced the deficit to just two points to set up a nervy ten-minute conclusion for Sharks.
