Saracens and England duo Chris Ashton and Alex Goode are hoping to represent Great Britain at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
Having been given the go-ahead by Saracens chief executive Edward Griffiths, Ashton and Goode have spoken of their desire to represent Team GB at the 2016 inaugural Olympic rugby sevens competition.
"I'd love to play at the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016 if I was given the chance," admitted Ashton.
Teammate Goode added: "It would be a dream to be an Olympian. To see the Olympics now and the fever I have got if I even had a glimmer of getting there I would work myself to the bone to have a chance."
In spite of the pairs' passion for rugby sevens it is still not known whether they will be included in the Saracens squad for Friday's JP Morgan Sevens final.
