Northampton Saints have progressed to the final of the Aviva Premiership playoffs after beating Saracens 27-13 at Allianz Park this afternoon.
The visitors dominated the first half, adding tries through Brian Mujati and Jamie Elliott, with Stephen Myler kicking two conversions and a penalty.
Saracens created few chances in the opening 40 minutes, while Owen Farrell missed with his only attempt at the uprights.
GJ van Velze extended Saints' advantage early in the second half, crossing the whitewash to secure their third try of the match, but the hosts were given a chance to get back into the tie when Elliott was sent to the sin bin.
Duncan Taylor found the try line for Saracens to reduce Northampton's lead, but they could not compete once Northampton regained their 15th man.
