Kelly Brown has been recalled to the Scotland starting XV for Saturday's Six Nations encounter with France at Murrayfield.
The 31-year-old forward, who was dropped following the team's opening-weekend defeat to Ireland, also regains the captaincy from Greig Laidlaw.
Meanwhile, Geoff Cross and David Denton have both been given the nod by interim coach Scott Johnson.
Scotland will be looking for their second win of the tournament after narrowly beating Italy two weeks ago.
