Ulster hooker Rory Best is a doubt for Ireland ahead of their opening Autumn International against South Africa.
Best is struggling with a calf problem and will be monitored throughout the week after going through "modified work" on Monday.
Ireland have a large number of injured forwards with Cian Healy, Marty Moore and Nathan White injured, while Mike Ross is also a doubt after a groin injury.
Team manager Michael Kearney told reporters: "It's probably a little bit more difficult to say with Rory, but he will do modified work and be closely monitored. Mike Ross went through some running and multi-directional work as well as static team work on Friday, and will be introduced to full training over the next few days."
Ireland will also face Georgia and Australia this month.
