Digby Ioane scored the only try of the match as Stade Francais secured a 13-9 win over Bucharest Wolves in the European Rugby Challenge Cup this afternoon.
The home side opened up an early lead when Florin Vlaicu kicked two penalties inside the first 15 minutes, while Stade Francais struggled to get their attack going.
However, Morne Steyn got them off the back just before the break after Vali-Catalin Mototolea was sent to the sin bin, while Ioane made the most of the visitors' numerical advantage with the last action of the first half, sprinting over in the corner.
Steyn increased the visitors' lead early in the second half with his second penalty of the match, but Vlaicu kept the sides close by splitting the uprights himself moments later.
Bucharest dominated the possession late on while Adrien Oleon had a spell off the pitch after being shown a yellow card, but they were unable to find a way through the Stade defence to edge back in front.
