Wales skipper Ryan Jones has been ruled out of their Six Nations clash with England on Saturday.
The 31-year-old was forced off with a shoulder injury in Wales's 28-18 win over Scotland at the weekend, but it had been expected that he would be fit to face England in the title decider.
Coach Rob Howley told reporters following the Scotland clash: "At the moment we're hopeful of him being fit."
However, following a scan on Monday, the back-row has been ruled out of the vital clash that would see Wales win the title if they beat England by at least eight points.
Wales are hopeful that Gethin Jenkins will be fit to take part.
