Worcester Warriors ran in 13 tries as they recorded an emphatic 85-5 win over Gernika in their Amlin Challenge Cup Pool 2 opener in Spain.
The gulf in quality between the two sides was obvious from the first whistle as the visitors scored six tries in the first half.
Matt Kvesic, Blair Cowan, Ben Howard, Paul Hodgson and a brace from Andy Short all but won the match for the English side in the opening 40 minutes.
They were just as dominant after the break as scores from George Porter and Hodgson furthered their advantage.
The home side were given some cheer on the hour through Federico Mazzochi's try but it was short-lived as Howard went over for his second of the match.
Worcester refused to ease up and completed the rout thanks to Max Stelling's quick-fire hat-trick and a score from Alex Grove.
The win is Worcester's record triumph in European competition, beating their 68-17 victory over Petrarca Padova in 2009.
