Ronnie O'Sullivan: 'Comeback feels like reality TV'

Ronnie O'Sullivan declares that his comeback at this year's World Snooker Championship feels like a reality TV show.

Ronnie O'Sullivan has declared that his return to professional snooker feels like a reality TV series ahead of next week's World Championship.

The 37-year-old will play at the Crucible in his first competitive match since deciding to take a break from the game last November.

O'Sullivan has downplayed his chances of adding a fifth world crown to his trophy cabinet after being drawn to face Michael Campbell.

He told BBC Sport: "It could be a car crash, it could be good, you just don't know.

"I've never been one for doing Big Brother, but this is about as near as it gets. Who knows what will happen? There's a part of me that wants instant success. That would be nice, but for me it's just about having fun.

"To win would be a fairytale dream, but last year was my greatest performance. I'd had a good season and it was expected by pretty much everyone that I was going to win the tournament before it started. To me that is the ultimate achievement because anything other than a win would've been seen as a failure in most people's eyes."

The defending champion is number one seed in Sheffield despite only playing one competitive match since beating Ali Carter in last year's final.
