Stephen Milne has claimed a spot in the 1500m freestyle final at the World Swimming Championships in Russia.
The British swimmer finished fourth in the quickest heat of the morning with a time of 14:55.17, which also left him fourth overall.
Italy's Gregorio Paltrinieri, who won the bronze medal two years ago, topped the timesheets with victory in the same heat as Milne, finishing in 14:51.04.
Defending champion Sun Yang finished third, just ahead of Milne, while American's Connor Jaeger was second.
