Andy Murray has made the semi-finals of the Cincinnati Masters with a straight sets victory over Gilles Simon.
Th start of the contest was delayed by 25 minutes after a fire alarm went off in the players' area, but it did little to affect the Scot, who broke his opponent in the first game before winning the first set 6-3.
The world number four broke the Frenchman's serve again early in the second and took the set 6-3 to book his place in the next round.
The 24-year-old will face either Rafael Nadal or Mardy Fish in the final four.
